Ancient Asian Massage
Tuina is a form of traditional Chinese massage therapy that focuses on the manipulation of the body's soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and fascia, along with the stimulation of acupuncture points. It is rooted in the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, emphasizing the flow of energy and the balance of Yin and Yang within the body.
The primary goals of tuina are to alleviate pain, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, promote relaxation, and enhance overall health. It can be particularly effective for musculoskeletal issues like back pain, neck pain, and joint problems.
Tuina can enhance treatment outcomes alone or in combination with other traditional Chinese medicine therapies, such as acupuncture or herbal medicine.
Tuina encompasses a variety of techniques, including kneading, rolling, pressing, and stretching. Practitioners may also use hands, fingers, elbows, and sometimes tools to facilitate treatment.
Includes full medical intake, physical exam, and any bodywork that maybe required.
