Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions can acupuncture treat?

Acupuncture is effective for a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, stress, anxiety, digestive issues, migraines, fertility issues, and sleep disorders, among others.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments depends on the condition being treated, its severity, and how your body responds. Some people notice results after just one session, while others may need multiple treatments.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit will last about two hours and will include a thorough health assessment, including a review of your symptoms, tongue examination, and pulse readings. Based on these details, a personalized treatment plan will be created.

Is acupuncture safe?

Acupuncture is a safe, non-invasive treatment when performed by a licensed and trained practitioner.

Can acupuncture be combined with other treatments?

Yes, acupuncture can be combined with other treatments in our clinic, including cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or other bodywork.

Acupuncture can also complement other forms of healthcare, including Western medicine, massage therapy, and physical therapy.

How do I know if acupuncture is right for me?

If you're experiencing chronic pain, stress, or other health issues, acupuncture may benefit you. We will work with you to determine the best treatment plan based on your individual needs.

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

Arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary forms. It’s best to have eaten a light meal beforehand, and come hydrated and relaxed.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to areas such as your arms, legs, and back. Gowns or drapes may also be provided if needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance as payment. Many insurance plans do cover acupuncture so please contact your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement.

What are the payment options?

We accept cash and credit/debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
